St. Augustine College offers innovative, free, and intensive 9-week GED and HiSET preparation courses in both English and Spanish, with a strong college and career readiness component. The program includes U.S. Constitution testing, paid practice tests, and important support services to ensure students can complete the program and earn their Illinois High School Equivalency Certificate. As an incentive to transition to college, participants who complete the program are offered a free college class at St. Augustine College so they can determine if college is the right option for them. St. Augustine has provided GED classes to over 3,000 students and this program has one of the highest GED passing rates in the state. Earning a GED provides the same benefits as graduating from High School.
Requirements: 18 years or older, Illinois resident, proof of address, take entrance exam, Social Security not required.
