What Does GED Stand For?

GED stands for the General Educational Development tests. These exams are taken by individuals who did not earn a high school diploma and cover four main subject areas. The successful completion of these tests provides the same benefits as graduating high school.

 Why St. Augustine College?

Here at St. Augustine College the preparation courses teach individuals the material that will be covered on each of the four GED exams. Through GED courses, prospective test-takers have a chance to thoroughly review the appropriate material, interact with their instructors and get help with areas of the test they need to work on. The specific goal of these classes is to ensure individuals are ready to pass their official GED exams.

*Services are exclusive to students enrolled in the program.

***Please noteStudents should be 18 years of age to enroll.  To register, students must provide a photograph identification card and one form of address verification. Must live in Cook County and pass entrance exam.
