We are here to help you understand all the expenses involved in attaining your college education and will walk you through the financial aid steps needed to make that dream a reality.
Tuition and Fees for 2026-2027 Academic Year: Tuition and fees are subject to change without prior notice.
For Summer 2026, St. Augustine is offering the “Summer Scholarship,” which constitutes 30% of tuition. All new, returning, and continuing students qualify for this scholarship. The “Summer Scholarship” cannot be combined with other discounts or scholarships for the Summer 2026 term.
FINANCIAL AID COST OF ATTENDANCE
Effective July 1, 2023, the Department of Education requires institutions to publish the Cost of Attendance (COA) used to determine a financial aid recipient’s financial aid award offer. The chart below outlines the Cost of Attendance (COA) by student type and living arrangements that is used by Lewis University to determine financial aid eligibility. The Cost of Attendance (COA) provides an estimate of both direct and indirect educational expenses, establishes financial need and sets the limit on financial aid eligibility. It is also important to understand the difference between direct and indirect costs. Direct costs are those items that are charged to your university student account, such as tuition, fees, housing, and meal plans. Indirect costs are those expenses that are not charged to your university student account such as books and supplies, gas to commute to campus, and personal living expenses.
The Cost of Attendance (COA) includes the following components:
- Tuition and fees
- Books, course materials, supplies, and equipment
- Living expenses – Housing and food
- Transportation
- Miscellaneous or personal expenses
It could also include, if appropriate:
- First professional license or credential
- Study abroad
- Dependent care costs
- Disability-related expenses
- Cooperative education
Note: St. Augustine College at Lewis University will review a student’s Cost of Attendance if a unique or special circumstance exists outside the standard COA components. This is referred to as Professional Judgment.
Payment of Tuition and Fees
Self-financed students can arrange a special payment plan with the Bursar’s Office. Use of a special plan does not relieve the student of the obligation for the total semester charges, subject to the withdrawal and refund policies of the College. Charges may be paid by money order, VISA, MasterCard, cash, or personal check. In the latter, some restrictions may apply. Students may also apply for student loans through the Office of Financial Aid.
Selected courses may carry a fee in addition to tuition charges. Inquiries on course fees should be directed to the Bursar’s Office.
Refunds, Including Title IV Refunds
Any students who withdraw (drop) from a class before the end of the second week of class will be granted a full (100%) refund. If the College cancels a class and is not able to place the student in another suitable class, any tuition and fees paid for the closed class will be refunded. For terms shorter than a semester, the refund period will be reduced in the same proportion. Refunds are calculated according to the U.S. Department of Education’s guidelines for the refund and return of Title IV student aid.
According to federal law, the Office of Financial Aid must recalculate Federal Title IV financial aid (excluding Federal Work Study funds) for students who withdraw from all classes or cease to attend on or before completing the 60% point of the semester. After the 60% point, the student is deemed to have earned 100% of the Title IV funds.
Withdrawal date is defined as the student’s last date of recorded attendance or the midpoint of the semester for students who leave without notifying the institution.
