The Associate of Arts degree is designed to transfer earned credit hours to four-year institutions and to fulfill the course requirements for the first two years of a baccalaureate degree. The general education core of the Associate of Arts degree is comprised of 12 courses that meet the standards of the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI), a statewide agreement that allows transfer of the completed Illinois General Education Core Curriculum between participating institutions.
