Gloria Quiroz is the new member of the Board of Directors of Inspiring Latinas, an organization that honors, inspires and trains women in their 50s to reach their full potential.

“Love and reinvent yourself and be happy,” is the motto of the organization’s new 2018 Calendar, successfully presented on August 12 at the Drake Oakbrook Hotel, with the participation of a great number of Latinas who have had an impact in Chicago’s political, social and financial well-being.

Gloria Quiroz, St. Augustine College Recruiting Director, said that as a new member of the Board of Directors, she is very proud to take part in these activities that empower Chicago’s Latinas. “The inspiring success stories of the women participating in the 2018 Calendar are a source of pride and an example to be followed by future generations. They are women who stand out for their sacrifice, work and effort, fulfilling at the same time their role of mothers, wives and professionals,” she said.

The August 12 event not only served to present the new Inspiring Latinas 2018 Calendar and the members that are featured in its pages, but to announce an awareness campaign of the organization’s mission at all levels. The event was a success and featured a performance by Spanish baritone Borja Quiza who made his debut in the United States. Borja Quiza has performed in such important opera houses and festivals as Real de Madrid, Liceo of Barcelona, Palau of the Arts from Valencia, Friends of the Opera Festival and Mozart Festival in La Coruña, among other important theaters and venues.
