Aurora’s 17 National Night Out, organized by the Municipality and the Police Department of the suburb of Aurora and one of that community’s most important events, was held once again at St. Augustine’s Aurora Campus.
“We are very proud to have hosted this event for the second consecutive year because it aims to connect the community with the police, firefighters and local government authorities so they can work together for a safer community and establish a cooperative relationship, “said Elizabeth Cárdenas, director of SAC Aurora.
The community event, attended by a hundred people, took place on August 1 between 5 and 8 pm, at SAC’s Aurora headquarters, 841 N. Lake St. Dozens of children enjoyed the Police and Fire Department’s presentations and demonstrations on safety. There was fun for the whole family, games for the kids, music and food.
The City of Aurora and the Aurora Police Department delivered a certificate of appreciation to St. Augustine College for opening its facilities to Aurora’s 17 National Night Out.
