In addition to the General Admission Requirements, applicants interested in this major must meet the following criteria for acceptance to the upper level courses for the Bachelor of Social Work program:
1. Completion of SWK 200, 305 and 315 with a grade of C or above.
2. Completion of the BSW Application
3. Completion of the General Core Curriculum Requirements with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale).
4. Two references from faculty, employers, or supervisors who can attest to the applicant’s ability to become a generalist social work practitioner.

Applications will be formally reviewed by faculty during December and May of each year. Students are notified of their acceptance status by email after their files are reviewed by faculty advisors.
