Chicago, IL- In an exciting game played on Sunday, March 28th, at the Pilsen YMCA, St. Augustine College's soccer team beat Alivio Medical Center's soccer team, in the championship game of the Alivio Medical Center Soccer Tournament. The final score was 7-2. After a tight first half, St. Augustine went on to victory with goals by Freddy Sund, Hector Trujillo, Gabriel Millan and Oskar Joelsson. This tournament was organized by Alivio Medical Center and included teams from other Latino organizations in Chicago, including, Instituto del Progreso Latino, Crece Foundation, Universidad Popular, New Life Church and The King Church."We struggled during the season, but our team came together in time for the tournament. We played a good team, but our players were determined to take the trophy home." stated Andres Marroquin, St. Augustine's coach/player."I am very proud of our team. They displayed great sportsmanship and showed a lot of heart under the guidance of Andres. My thanks go to Alivio and the organizers for a great season and a great tournament," added Andrew Sund, President of St. Augustine College.
