Social Service Concentration

The Liberal Arts & Sciences Associate Degree (AA) with concentration in Social Serviceprepares students for employment in the social service area, and enables graduates to pursue a Bachelor Degree in Social Work or other behavioral sciences. St. Augustine College offers a CSWE accredited Bachelor of Social Work Degree.

Employment opportunities in social work continue to expand and an associate degree is required for many entry- and mid-level positions. One of the benefits for graduates of this program who continue their education at St. Augustine, and earn a Bachelor of Social Work Degree, is that they may qualify for an accelerated Master's Degree in Social Work at other institutions.
