Official Rules for Scholarship Sweepstakes

No Purchase Necessary. The Sweepstakes are open only to those Residing in the United States.

CONTEST PERIOD: The sweepstakes are conducted two times per year. The first sweepstake begins on the second Tuesday of January, 2012 and ends on the third Sunday of August, 2012. The second sweepstake begins on the third Monday of August, 2012 and ends on the second Monday of January 15, 2013.

HOW TO ENTER: You can enter the sweepstakes by going online at www.staugustine.edu; by calling 773-878-8756; by registering at any St. Augustine campus or Center; by registering with any authorized employee or representative of St. Augustine College; or by sending your registration by mail (St. Augustine College, 1345 W. Argyle St., Chicago, Illinois, 60642). Complete the entry form and submit during the entry period. Limit one entry per person during the entry period. Multiple entries submitted by a single person, whether via phone, write-in or Internet, are void.

ENTRY FORM REQUIREMENTS: Entry Form requires: full name, phone number and address, e-mail address and agreement to these rules.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: By registering to enter the sweepstakes, entrant acknowledges compliance with these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements. Online entrant must be the registered subscriber of the e-mail account by which the entry is made. All entries become the property of St. Augustine College, which is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any Web site, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, postage due, illegible or misdirected entries. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. No copies, facsimiles or reproductions of official entry forms will be accepted.

PRIZES: An $8,750 scholarship will be awarded at the end of the first sweepstakes period and a second $8,750 Scholarship will be awarded at the end of the second sweepstakes period.  A check will be awarded to each Winner in the form of a check paid directly to the student's account at St. Augustine College. This scholarship will be applied only after all other sources of grants and financial aid (excluding loans) have been exhausted. The value of this scholarship cannot exceed the difference between the amount for which the student qualifies for grants and financial aid, excluding loans, and the student's total tuition and fees cost. 

The college will deduct from the student's account any school costs, such as tuition, books, fees, etc., in the first two semesters that the student is enrolled at St. Augustine College.  United States federal, state and local taxes and any other applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution or transfer of prizes is permitted. The qualified winner will have up to six months from the time he/she is notified as the winner to enroll and start classes, otherwise the award will be void.

DRAWING: One Scholarship winner will be determined in a random drawing from among all entries approximately twice a year by St. Augustine College. The next drawing is August 12,  2012. Winners will be notified by phone or e-mail within 5 business days of the drawing date. Winners will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility/publicity and liability release, and return them, properly executed, within [14] days of notification. Failure to return documents as specified, or if prize notification is returned as undeliverable will result in the entry being disqualified and an alternative winner selected. Prize must be claimed [14] days prior to notification or alternative winner will be selected.

WINNERS: By entry into this Scholarship sweepstakes, winners consent to the use of their names, identities, and/or photographs for promotional purposes, including online announcements, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. Limit one scholarship per person. If, in St. Augustine College's opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the sweepstakes, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the sweepstakes, St. Augustine College reserves the right to terminate the online portion of the sweepstakes and conduct a random drawing to award the prizes using all write-in and online entries received as of the termination date. Should the sweepstakes be terminated prior to the end of the stated entry period, notice will be posted at www.staugustine.edu. Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to legal action by St. Augustine College or its agents. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY ANY WINNER (AT ST. AUGUSTINE COLLEGE'S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH INDIVIDUAL'S DISQUALIFICATION AS A WINNER AND ALL PRIVILEGES DUE SUCH INDIVIDUAL WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED AND AN ALTERNATE PRIZE WINNER WILL BE SELECTED.

ELIGIBILITY: The sweepstakes are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. The sweepstakes are open only to residents of the United States, 17 years of age or older at time of entry. If you are under 18 and are selected as a Winner, we must have a signed parental waiver as a condition of receiving the scholarship. Not eligible to enter are employees and their immediate family members, former or currently enrolled students of St. Augustine College and its advertising and promotion agencies. The sweepstakes are subject to all federal, state (in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois), and local laws of the United States. Void where prohibited. Winners agree that St. Augustine College, its agencies and employees shall not be liable for injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participating in this promotion or from the acceptance or use of any prize awarded. St. Augustine College reserves the right to verify eligibility qualifications of any winner. High school students who win this scholarship must finish high school first, before using the scholarship to enroll at St. Augustine.

WINNER'S IDENTITY & OFFICIAL RULES. Scholarship winners' name, photograph and general information, as well as a version of these Official Rules, suitable for printing, will be posted on the St. Augustine College's web site and the COMPANY page on Facebook, at Sponsor's discretion.
