Freshman:

If you have completed High School, GED or a High School degree from a foreign country, you may begin the admission process by submitting the following items to an Admissions Counselor:

Submit official transcripts from high school (or high school equivalency document)

If seeking Financial Assistance you will need to complete an application and submit the necessary documentation.

Transfer Student:

Step 2Submit official transcripts from high school and all previously attended academic institutions (community college, college, or university). Transcripts will be evaluated by the Student & Academic Affairs Office.

New International Student:

St. Augustine College is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant F-1 students. The college will issue a SEVIS form I-20 only after all required documents have been submitted.

Step 2Present credentials of upper secondary education that is equivalent to high school (12 years of school) in the United States. If original documentation is not in English or Spanish then an evaluation from Educational Credentials Evaluators, Inc. (ECE) is required. For information on evaluation go to www.ece.org

Submit an Affidavit of Support (form I-134) with the pertinent supporting documentation/evidence from the sponsor who is guaranteeing financial support. Documentation needed is specified on the instructions of Affidavit of Support form.

Step 4

It is important that the above application documents have been received by the Admissions Office at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the semester. The file will then be transferred to the Registrar’s Office for processing.

The Registrar’s Office will then issue a package that includes the SEVIS I-20 and the affidavit of support with supporting documentation; for those who are presenting the package abroad at an American Consulate/Embassy.

There is also a Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) I-901 fee mandated by Congress. For more information on this fee and how to pay please go to www.fmjfee.com

This fee should be paid by the applicant or sponsor and a copy of the receipt included in the package.

Step 550% of one semester tuition, plus $50 processing fee is required at the time the package is issued.

All documentation presented to an American Consulate/Embassy or the USCIS must be in English or translated by a certified accredited agency. Currency must also be indicated in U.S. dollars.

International Transfer Student F-1:

Step  1Complete the Application
Step 2Submit official transcripts from all previously attended academic institutions (high school, GED, community college, college, or university.)
Step 3

After the above has been received by the Admission counselor, they will provide an admissions letter, and F-1 Transfer Request Form to be taken to your International Advisor to release the student information on the SEVIS system.
